Wow! It was pleasantly sunny and balmy weather on the first of March 2025 in downtown Alexandria, Virginia today! I’m not sure if the Washington Scottish Pipe Band members’ naked kneecaps that are exposed for all to see below our Ancient McGregor Tartan Plaid kilts are accustomed to such kind treatment from Mother Nature! We looked GREAT!
Anyway, balmy weather was also kind to our bagpipe drone and chanter reeds. We sounded GREAT!
The spectator crowds were quite large and very supportive.
We also very much enjoyed crashing a couple of Alexandria pubs after the parade and put on some impromptu pipes and drums performances crammed in among the many elbows and ales at the bar!
